Suspended Players and Sine Die Bans

The link below is to the Amateur Football Alliance (AFA) website, the County Football Association to which the AFC affiliates. This link gives the most up-to-date details of Discipline Punishments applied by the AFA, and includes all clubs and leagues affiliated to them. The list is not exclusively that of AFC clubs - the AFA has around 900 sides of which 350 play in the AFC.

Note that dates of suspensions cover all football, (midweek, Sundays), not just within the Amateur Football Combination.

Note also that these are only suspensions issued by the AFA - suspensions issued by other County Football Associations (for clubs not affiliated to the AFA, Sunday football outside of the AFA, etc) are not listed here, but these suspensions still cover participants within the Amateur Football Combination.

F.A. Standard Punishments and Procedures

All games played by AFC clubs are sanctioned by the AFA, who operate under rules and procedures laid out by the Football Association. The links below give details of standard punishments which will be meted out by the AFA for personal indiscipline, as well as the procedures applied and details of the AFA Stages for excessive Club Misconduct.

The Football Association deals with discipline for teams playing in the Premier League, Football League and steps 1 to 4 of the National League System. Current FA Suspensions are also included here for information, showing how these are presented by the FA on their website. Note that at the higher levels of football, players receive match bans, whereas in Amateur football (where players do not sign formal contracts) bans are "time bans".
